RootReach allows users to comfortably accomplish their garden tasks with just one tool.
What's The Problem?
When it comes to gardening, the two main pain points that everyone experiences are that their knees and back hurt and that they hate weeding.

My Approach
To find the pain points, we interviewed everyone we knew who gardened and found the biggest commonalities. Following that, we researched the market and looked for ways we could combine the best of the best.
Vision and Innovation
The goal for our product is to create a tool that allows users to pick weeds standing up and offer modularity, so as to safe space and money for the user.

Group Combination
Working with my two group members, we combined our sketched ideas into a final, best-of-the-best concept.

Physical Prototyping
My section of the groupwork was to create two of our attachments for the product, the rake and shovel ends. These were both produced using laser-cut polystyrene, which would give it the structure and appearance it needs.
